Six more Chikungunya cases reported within two weeks and the total number has increase to 97 cases in Kedah. All new cases were reported at Kampung Watt Padang Perliang and Kampung Syed Ahmad, both in Pandent district.
There are still 46 people hospitalised and suspect infected with Chikungunya disease. There all warded in 6 hospitals in Kedah. All these 46 people were having symptoms such as joint pain, high fever, fatigue, headache and vomiting.
Chikungunya is the disease transmits by Aedes mosquitoes. Until today, Malaysia has reported more than 4000 Chikungunya cases nationwide.
